Prof. Emerita Datuk Dr. Asma Ismail is a distinguished scientist, academic leader, and policy advisor who has pioneered many national firsts, including serving as the first female Vice-Chancellor of USM and USIM, Director-General of Higher Education, National Science Advisor, and President of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia. She is currently the Vice-Chancellor and CEO of IMU University, sits on the UTM University Board and leads key national initiatives on education reform and planetary health. Internationally recognized with over 270 awards and honors including Forbes Asia’s “Top 50 Women Over 50 in Asia-Pacific”, her groundbreaking research has produced 16 commercialized patents such as the WHO-endorsed TYPHIDOT test, alongside more than 130 publications.

Dr. Veeramuthu Ashok Kumar

Dr. Veeramuthu Ashok Kumar is a bioenergy researcher with over 12 years of expertise in microalgal biorefinery for biofuels and high-value bioproducts at both academic and industrial levels. His work spans large-scale cultivation of marine and freshwater microalgae in open raceway ponds and photobioreactors, integrating zero-nutrient-cost technologies using wastewater. He has extensive experience in biomass valorization through thermochemical techniques such as torrefaction, pyrolysis, and biochar synthesis, contributing to CO₂ mitigation and metallic iron production from algal biochar. Dr. Ashok has collaborated internationally with institutions in Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, South Korea, China, Vietnam, India, and Norway, and has supervised postgraduate and doctoral students in related fields.

Dr. Sharina Binti Yunus is an accomplished educator, researcher, and innovation leader with over 20 years of experience in AI, robotics, smart cities, and STEM education. As Assistant Professor at Universiti Teknologi Brunei and Director of the Enterprise Office, she has driven commercialization strategies, strengthened the university’s innovation ecosystem, and led impactful ASEAN-EU collaborations. Her research spans AI for healthcare, sustainable development, and smart city solutions, alongside a strong commitment to advancing STEM education. Internationally recognized as the Coordinator of the Asia-European AI Network, she has delivered keynotes and workshops at global forums and actively supports youth innovation through Learning Ladders Society and FIRST Global robotics teams.

YB Datuk Seri Utama Ir. Hasni bin Mohammad is a respected engineer and statesman with extensive experience in public service and leadership. He is the Member of Parliament for Simpang Renggam, a long-serving Assemblyman for Benut, and former 18th Menteri Besar of Johor (2020 – 2022), where he guided the state through key economic and social transitions. Previously, he held roles as Johor State Executive Councillor and Leader of the Opposition, demonstrating strong consensus-building skills within Barisan Nasional. An engineering graduate from the University of Missouri-Rolla, he brings a pragmatic, solutions-driven approach to governance. Currently, as Chairman of the Johor Sustainability Centre, he champions forward-looking initiatives in sustainable development, positioning Johor as a model for resilience, innovation, and green growth.

Zaidatul Zurita binti Abdul Rahman is the accomplished Chief Sustainability & Social Impact Officer at Johor Corporation (JCorp) and CEO of Yayasan JCorp, where she leads the group’s sustainability transformation and philanthropic initiatives. With over 20 years of experience in ESG strategy, biodiversity conservation, and regulatory compliance, she integrates sustainability and social responsibility across JCorp’s diverse portfolio. Her leadership aligns corporate objectives with national priorities and global best practices, while her foundation advances education, community well-being, environmental stewardship, and the arts. She is regarded as a trusted advisor on sustainability governance and impact strategy, with extensive experience across Asia and the Middle East.

Professor Dr. Azlan bin Amran is a distinguished academic and leader at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), currently serving as Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Industry, Community Network & Institutional Sustainability, following his tenure as Dean of the Graduate School of Business. Holding a PhD and MBA in Accounting from Universiti Malaya, he brings keen expertise in corporate governance, integrated reporting, and CSR, publishing extensively in local and international journals and guiding postgraduate researchers. Under his leadership, USM has embraced a Whole Institution Approach to sustainability, strengthened industry ties, and advanced SDG integration and sustainable finance initiatives.

Ir. Ts. Nurul Huda binti Mat Nor

Ir. Ts. Nurul Huda binti Mat Nor is a Professional Engineer and Sustainability Impact Consultant with over 17 years of experience in environmental engineering, QHSE, and sustainability practices. She is the Managing Director of the HSE Group of Companies, a Certified ESG and Sustainability Practitioner, and a former President of the Malaysian Environmental Professional Practitioners’ Society (MEPS). With expertise in ISO standards, carbon footprint assessment, industrial effluent treatment, and sustainability integration, she has trained and advised diverse industries and government agencies. She is also actively engaged as an industrial advisor, speaker, and trainer, contributing to national and international sustainability initiatives.

Prof. Dr. Shanti Faridah Binti Salleh

Prof. Dr. Shanti Faridah Salleh has served as a lecturer at Universiti Malaysia Sarawak for over 16 years. She holds an Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering and a Master’s in Advanced Process Engineering from Loughborough University, UK, and a PhD in Chemical Engineering focusing on Biomass Conversion from Agricultural Waste from Universiti Putra Malaysia. Since 2000, she has built a successful career at UNIMAS across the Faculty of Engineering, Academic Development and Management Division, and Centre of Academic Quality Assurance and Curriculum Development. She is a Chartered Energy Engineer (Institute of Energy, UK), Certified Auditor RSPO, Certified Environmental Lead Auditor ISO14001, and Registered EIA Consultant for NREB. She has contributed to TVET and industry module developments and undertaken consultancy projects with Sarawak Energy Berhad, XFab Sarawak Bhd, and Murata (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd.

Adrian Sansoldi Lamano is an ESG & Sustainability Senior Consultant at SGS International Certification Services Singapore with extensive expertise in carbon services, sustainability reporting, and green building solutions. He holds an MSc in Building Performance and Sustainability from the National University of Singapore and a Bachelor of Architecture from Petra Christian University. With professional accreditations as a Lead Verifier for ISO 14064 and Singapore’s Carbon Pricing Act, he has led GHG verification, decarbonization roadmaps, and sustainability-linked assurance across industries, including energy, mining, real estate, and manufacturing. His career spans research and project management roles at ERI@N (NTU) and Surbana Jurong–NTU Corporate Lab, where he advanced green building performance, carbon reduction strategies, and renewable energy integration.

William Soon Fatt Gunn is the Product Manager for Responsible Business Services at SGS Malaysia, with over 20 years of experience in quality, health, safety, environment, and sustainability management. He holds dual master’s degrees in Occupational Safety & Health Risk Management and Strategic Management (MBA), alongside a Bachelor’s in Management. A Certified Energy Manager, IRCA Principal Auditor, and Registered Professional Technologist, he has led more than 500 audits covering ISO management systems, ESG, and social compliance across diverse industries. His expertise spans risk and safety management, anti-bribery compliance, and sustainability assurance, and he is also an accredited professional trainer and IRCA-approved tutor for ISO auditor training.

Mohd Hafiz Bin Zainuddin

Mr. Mohd Hafiz Bin Zainuddin is a strategic and results-driven property and sustainability professional with over 12 years of experience in property management and ESG strategy within the real estate sector. Currently serving as Director at Knight Frank Malaysia, he has advanced through leadership roles, including Associate Director and Manager, where he successfully managed diverse property portfolios, optimized operations, and enhanced team performance. His expertise includes embedding ESG frameworks across asset lifecycles, managing carbon emissions, and delivering externally verified ESG reports. Previously, he held key positions at Sunway College, Sime Darby, and Universiti Selangor, building strong foundations in facilities management, occupational safety, and residential operations.
